I don't know why I'm writing this - it's not like much has happened recently. Popped to B&Q this evening to get some plaster sealant and, as usual, came out with far more than we had intended. After dinner and some university work, I sanded down the plaster applied yesterday in the kitchen and then began painting on this weird plaster sealer stuff. It smelt like glue. So yeah . . . I then began filling in a gap around the recently glued on door frame (or part thereof), which M**** helped with and that's about it. Like I say . . . all pretty dull stuff.

  • Comment: Smelt like glue? That's because it's glue. Watered down pva has a myriad of uses in building. Keep that and use it on anything crumbly in future and when it runs out buy a gallon of pva from screwfix. Bad form about the rta, I hope they're paying for your new bike and a nice bit of compo!

  • Comment: Oooo, glue. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, glue. Yes. I suspect gallon of PVA from Screwfix would also be much, much cheaper. Hmmmm. RTA - various solicitor-to-solicitor discussion still in progress. I have very nice new bike, thanks. It has strange hydraulic disc brakes that I don't really understand and also nasty clicky gear shifter on front dereilleurueueurur that means chain rubs against dereielelrereueueure when in certain gears. Bad. What's compo?
