Tamron? Who is Tamron?
PA072105.JPGPA072078.JPGPA072074.JPGPA072058.JPG New lens. No, not new lens. New lens adaptor. It arrived today, barely ordered a few days ago and shipped all the way from Illinois. How cool is that? I had to make slight adjustments to one of my scripts that generates thumbnails as . . . and here it gets weird . . . my Olympus Pen had somehow detected an 'alien' lens and decided to change the naming convention of the filenames of the pictures. No major problem, but kinda weird nonetheless. So this lens I inherited from my father. He had a few interesting looking camera lenses attached to archaic, film-based SLR cameras. With adaptor that arrived today I can attach one of these lenses to my camera and here are the results. That picture of the moon would have been impossible with the standard lens that came with the Olympus E-PL1. This lens seems to be 28 - 200mm and I'm guessing is pretty good for the long range zoom type of shot. Need to experiment more though.
