Ceanothus
       |       |     | | Every summer our two ceanothus bushes go absolutely crazy with a riot of purple flowers, albeit at slightly different times - one bush flowers before the other. I've thought about this before, but never got around to it: trying to capture this on camera. So I took a load of pictures on a sunny day, including a few other flowering plants. Perhaps I'll print some of these out and stick 'em on a spare picture frame we have lying around.

Getting sunburnt in Lytham
      | | Yeah . . . met up with the Horton's today, a beach hut thingy having been hired all day. Somehow, we all managed to get sunburnt to a greater or lesser degree. I had slathered sun-block all over my exposed skin, but still my feet managed to get sunburnt. Go figure.
