• Comment: I don't understand what Former Line Manager is on about with regard breaching human rights, but then I still haven't thought of any sensible means of collating data regarding lurkers. I'm certainly not about to publish information mapping IP addresses to (possible) people - that's not really what I'm on about. As far as I'm aware, an IP address only identifies a connection to a COMPUTER (or more precisely, a network interface card) at one moment in time, and therefore doesn't actually say a great deal. Information can be merely inferred from that IP address.
