 Feeding the water

Then we went for a brief walk along the canal, hoping to feed the ducks some bread. There were no ducks, despite A****** shouting, "DUCK! DUCK!" over and over. The lack of ducks did upset A****** a little bit, so we let him throw the bread to the water instead. It's not really quite the same, but A****** didn't seem to mind.
