Manchester, science museum
Today was a little odd. The previous night M**** had been out on her 'Hen do'. When M**** goes out late, I can't actually sleep until M**** gets back. Kinda weird, but that's just how it goes. I guess there's a part of me thinking, "If I fall asleep now, I'm only gotta get woken up a bit later when M**** comes stomping and stamping into the house, screeching, 'Hello? You still up?' at the top of her voice," so I might as well stay awake. Long story short, I finally got to sleep at about 03:30 this morning, on account of our curtains having some weird spazzy fit, where they decided to separate themselves (rail and all) from the wall. Great.
Once they were fixed (by now M**** was fast asleep), I popped downstairs to turn all the lights off, lock up, that kind of thing, came back upstairs, probably thinking, "Ah, at last. Peace. Time for bed," and R****** was just there in our bedroom, sat by our bed, like this was a normal thing at 03:20 on a Saturday morning. Grrrrrrrrr! So I put R****** back to bed and finally got to sleep. And guess who had to be up at 7am this morning to give the boys their breakfast? So yeah . . . despite all this, I eventually relented to giving M**** and Mouse a lift to Manchester to do some shopping. I had the boys to look after, so we battled through the Manchester Great Run crowds to get to the Science Museum. Crowds of people, and I'm trying to guide a 3 and 6 year old through it all, jittery as hell, not entirely sure where I was going or sometimes who I was or why I was here. But hey . . . it all worked out. We had a fun time at the Science Museum.
