Ambleside with no rain!
      
These are strange times (maybe they are but the following isn't indicative of that) when you can drive through the outskirts of Ambleside, past Windermere, and spy a council worker watering some flower beds. But as the photos attest, it was a gloriously warm, sunny day in Ambleside for once. We were there to see Nanna-and-Grandpa-on-the-hill, as they're known by A****** and R******. I don't like to remember the last time I was here. That would have been March. Today was a good day, though.

- Comment: Are we thinking of moving? Well, it's all up in the air but I think the consensus is, "Yes, but not for a while yet." Quite how long a while is, I couldn't say. At least several years. M**** likes to browse RightMove just to see what state the market's in, both in Lancaster and surrounding areas (especially the Lake District). RightMove helps for some of our more 'out there' plans and ambitions, some of which may not be that crazy after all. No doubt I'll be blogging all this stuff when things become clearer.
