Alex's birthday
     
Today was A******'s birthday. The day can be split up into a few separate chunks. During the morning, there were many presents to unwrap. The main present was this 'Tower of Doom' thing, which was a joint gift from various aunties and uncles. Sorry about the picture of a very happy but very snotty R******; he's had a bit of cold recently. |   
Then, in the afternoon, we all piled into the car and headed for Old Holly Farm. We spent the first fifteen/twenty minutes kind of hanging around (as we had arrived a little bit early), waiting for people to arrive. We had invited some people from A******'s nursery and various other friends and cousins. I think A****** would have liked to invite more but our budget didn't stretch that far. Anyway, everyone turned up except for one, who we weren't really expecting to turn up anyway, given their circumstances (it's a bit complex). The first thing to attend to was lunch.

. . . and then A****** and some of his friends had a bit of a crazy run around, before being let loose into the main play area, of which I have no pictures. I think both M**** and I were too busy watching R****** and other small children, or else socialising with the parents. Also on the itinerary was this 'meet the animals' thing but we never bothered with that, on account of the rain, really. Well, that and it didn't really sound all that exciting.

- Comment: The pics take so long to load because I have a sh*t ISP - Demon. Mind you, they're all a bit crap, to be honest. Apparently, I have an upload rate of almost 1 mbps, but I very much doubt that. Truth is, I'm not prepared to shell out several hundred pounds a month to upgrade my connection to some kind of 'business tarif' and there's no chance in hell I'm letting some third party take control of my web-site and all the photos. The blog and the photos exist for myself and M**** and work fine when we view them at home. If people outside of here can also view these things, albeit it slowly, then that's a bonus.
