I was thinking, it's a shame the owners of this place don't change their surname to May. Mr and Mrs May. That way, it would be May's Maize Maze. Hmmmmm. Anyway.

We ventured out to Lanhydrock, which wasn't too far away. The boys kicked a ball around whilst the adults wandered around the insides of Lanhydrock House (?!) or whatever it is . . . some stately home thing, National Trust, blah blah blah. So yeah . . . later on, we all went back to the holiday house; James and I collected a curry from Fowey and that was about it, I reckon.

Cornwall, Day 3
I don't think much happened today . . . a lot of lounging around and not doing much . . . I seem to recall some sun-burn occurring.

The weather was a bit, erm . . . inclement today, but we tried not to let that bother us. We braved Fowey and some Cornish pasties and I had a couple of umbrellas, although the rain had almost stopped by the time we were eating said pasties. We checked out this tiny aquarium, that we had passed many times in the past, but never before ventured inside. It was kinda cute, if a little crowded at times. Yeah, so . . . on the way back, we visited some beachy thing, but the tide was in and the water was rather on the choppy side.

The bad weather continued, so we figured a forest walk would be in order, so that we could hide under the trees if the weather turned really bad. We had lunch at a pub somewhere on the outskirts of Bodmin, The Borough Arms, I believe. Food was fantastic, as was the pub itself. So yeah . . . that was all good. The forest walk was done in Cardinham Woods, and the weather wasn't too bad. Afterwards, we had a quick cake / coffee / hot chocolate at the cafe there before heading back to our holiday house.
