A pre-birthday birthday
     | | A business trip to Carlisle on Monday (or possibly something from the weekend?!) may have infected me with some horrendous virus - I'm not sure. Either way, Tuesday was a write-off (had spent Monday night shivering and sweating and hardly sleeping) and today was only slightly better. My temperature was all over the place. I was feeling slightly human by late afternoon but still not right. Don't these things have any consideration for birthdays?!?! So yeah . . . as A****** and R****** wouldn't be around for the actual day of my birthday, we had a little mini-celebration tonight, as can be seen.

Plan slightly adjusted
   | | I think the original plan had been to leave Lancaster not long after dropping off the boys at school. We had to adjust that plan slightly and got to Ambleside in the early part of the afternoon. I seem to recall we went to Doi Intanon for dinner?! Possibly a couple of drinks at the Golden Rule (it's almost compulsory).

       |       | | R****** had a sleep-over at a friend's house the previous night and . . . well, kind of obviously, these pictures don't really capture the tantrums, the crying, the unreasonableness . . . what was essentially tiredness. Lord only knows how much sleep R****** had last night.
