The annual Blackpool visitation

Not much to say about this. I took the afternoon off work and we went to Blackpool. Wandered around the sea front, went to the arcades . . . all the usual kind of stuff . . . went for dinner at Pizza Express     (once again, located by my phone) and then drove slowly down the promenade (much to the annoyance of those behind . . . I'm joking), looking at the lights and stuff . . . then back home. Job done.

Imperial War Museum and thereabouts

M**** met up with Mouse and Nicola whilst I did fun stuff with A******, R****** and Simon. We went to the Imperial War Museum, having lunch first before exploring the museum itself. When we got bored of that, we wandered around Salford Quays . . . kind of around MediaCity, the boys recognising many of the characters on the windows and wondering if they could kind of wander inside and meet, erm, I dunno . . . that fake, Northern, gardener dude . . . but yeah . . . time soon flew by.

Bamboo
I dunno why I took a picture of this. It's a bamboo bowl that I bought from Ikea that day. It wasn't just the bowl, of course. I'm sure we bought some other stuff. But yeah . . . the bamboo had a fantastic texture but perhaps it's not one of those things you can capture in an image. Perhaps there's also the way the light reflects as the bowl is rotated . . . that kinda stuff. I dunno. Hello?
