Planes, trees, deer(?!)

Today we did go for a walk around this country house thingy. I can't remember exactly where, though . . . I remember today was slightly odd as Mark found a perfectly functional pedometer, just lying there on the grass; someone must have dropped it. Then I found a broken pair of travel binoculars; one lens was working fine though.

Disodium EDTA is commonly used to standardize aqueous solutions of transition metal cations
img_9942.jpgimg_9944.jpgimg_9946.jpgimg_9949.jpgimg_9954.jpgimg_9964.jpg . . . some pictures of A****** and R******. Really need to air-brush out those scuffs in the wallpaper. Hmmmm. Better yet would to paint over the scuffs themselves on the real wall, sounds far too messy though. My favourite here is the last picture. Great.

. . . either dichotomous outcome of a given measurement remains a possibility
img_9971.jpgimg_9972.jpgimg_9976.jpgimg_9977.jpgimg_9978.jpgimg_9980.jpgimg_9985.jpg Now, this is odd . . . Of course, I need to explain 'this' first; I do that at work all the time. The odd thing here is third picture from the end here. I'm sure my parents own a photograph of me, perhaps when I was similar age to what A****** is now, and I look very much like A****** does here. I dunno if it's the hair, the expression or what . . . but the similarity, whilst not exactly unexpected, is nonetheless striking. I've never really thought A****** looks much like me, you see.

Lambing season in SIlverdale . . . or something
img_9987.jpgimg_9990.jpgimg_9993.jpgimg_9995.jpgimg_9997.jpg A brief drive out to Silverdale, where we spotted this weird, orange lamb.

Paddington, the bearer of disease
img_0065.jpgimg_0080.jpgimg_0082.jpgimg_0091.jpgimg_0092.jpg So the deal here is that nursery had lent us this Paddington bear thingy and a book to 'record' his happenings over the week. We did this, but failed to mention how the day after Paddington arrived, the household (or members thereof, excluding myself, of course) was struck down by some mysterious illness. We blamed Paddington, naturally. Anyway, here's A****** dragging Paddington around the canal at Bolton-le-Sands (or near enough).

Some interpret the rider of the white horse to be the anti-christ
img_0103.jpg The title comes from the Wikipedia entry on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I can't remember exactly why I was looking this up, but it may well have had something to do with Paddington Bear. Anyway . . . why have I left this picture here? I quite liked the blue/white colour to the left of the picture . . . it kinda reminded me of glaciers for some reason. Besides, I don't need to justify myself. But yeah . . . this is what's left the morning after the wood-burner's been doing its stuff the previous night.

Cartmel
img_0112.jpgimg_0113.jpgimg_0128.jpgimg_0131.jpgimg_0143.jpg A day out in Cartmel. Forgot to buy some sticky toffee pudding but had a gorgeous piece of the stuff in one of the pubs (I can't remember which). The diseased Paddington was dragged out with us. Hey, I remember now - I think this is the day we took A****** out on his own (R****** staying with his grandparents). We thought A****** would benefit from this and maybe he did, but he did occasionally ask us where his baby brother was. Hmmmm.
