They may not be fruit flies; I would check the plant pots first
Today we did go to this car dealership place in Morecambe and seemed to buy a new car. We did a part exchange on our old Vauxhall Astra and are hoping it lasts long enough for all the paperwork to go through and such like. Neither M**** or I could be bothered with any haggling, either realising we got a good deal anyway or else too scared, too lazy, too meek to bother arguing a few hundred pounds here and there. Our 'new' (well, new to us) car is (or will be) a September 2003 model, previously owned by no-one else but a priest M**** knows of, with no more than 30,000 miles on the clock (I leave it as an exercise to the very bored reader to ponder about the ambiguity in this sentence). Almost like the cliché of one careful lady owner.

  • Comment: Perhaps because I'm not sure. I know the colour was blue (just blue), and I know it's still a 5-door Vauxhall Astra, but it seems less of a hatchback and more of a saloon, if you know what I mean. Perhaps slightly bigger. 1.6 litre engine, some kind of injection thingy . . . I dunno. Should I be more excited about the purchase of a new vehicle? Oh, that reminds me - must dig out those rosary beads I have for they must be dangled from the windscreen mirror (or some kind of Jesus figurine?!). Slightly annoyingly, there's no means to plug in one's portable music player (read: iPod). I'm wondering if I can craft a little line-in and switch combo in order to plug such things in, but then due to the way we've purchased this car, our contract may not allow such alterations for the first x months of 'ownership'. Hmmmmm.

  • Comment: You want to watch it, those priests really screw their cars. I was out on my bike the other day and was nearly knocked off by two of the dog collared basterds having a race, side by side down the road. What's more, they always clock their cars, it's ok because they go to confession afterwards so god doesn't mind. None of the above is true, by the way.
