My son, A******, was born on 16th July GMT or 17th July BST. I think daylight savings time is an anachronism. I say when we next go back to GMT, let's stay there, and stop springing forward and falling back like crazed fools.

- Comment: Here here! Nuts to these fantasists who want to pretend it is always summer - lets have time the dreary British way like it ought to be!

- Comment: Sorry, Sam - the cows would get confused if some farmer dared to milk them in the morning when it was still dark. Damn those cows.

- Comment: Hi there, Tom. Good to hear from you. Regarding your questions. Yes, as far as the daylight-savings thing is concerned, 'British Summer Time' doesn't end until the last (?!) weekend of October. I would have assumed Austria has something similar . . . but maybe not. The cows? Oh, well, you see, that is a reference to some non-sensical reason why we have daylight-saving during summer . . . something to do with cows and farmers. God knows. THANKS!
