So here we are, somewhere on the outskirts of Manchester, utilising our wedding present from Simon and Becky. Yes, it's a National Trust place (Quarry Bank Mill) and fairly interesting. It came across as a kind of posh mill, if that's possible. A mill built away from all the dirt and grime of inner city Manchester, complete with landscaped gardens, orchards, vegetable plots and various greenery. The family responsible (I forget who now) having also established mills in Lancaster and Galgate . . . wait a sec . . . that's just lazy . . . I invoke the power of Google . . . the Greg family! Of course! Wiki just mentions the mill at Caton. Hmmm, okay. Anyway, in that last picture, can you spot the mouse? I suspect that mouse has been fed many a time by many a visitor; it was very tame.
