A well-ripened jalapeño
img_3478.jpg Check out these little beauties. It seemed to take a hell of a long time for these to ripen but, at last, I have a load of bright red jalapeños. I've found that the red ones taste a little sweeter than the green ones and also seem a bit spicier. All the spice seems to be in the seeds with these peppers, though. I want to get me growing some proper habaneros or similar; that's next year's plan.
