After a quick pit-stop at this intriguing café on the outskirts of Winchester, we headed for a walk around Farley Mount, followed by lunch at the Plough Inn, Sparsholt. During a little break on our walk, we took a few pictures with us sat on a bench. M**** was trying to explain or demonstrate (or both) to Bethany the process around 'photobombing', hoping that Bethany might be able to photobomb a picture of us lot. As you can tell, it didn't really work out, but never mind.

I think this would have worked better if the tarn had appeared slap-bang in the middle of the picture but . . . ah well, better than nothing. I like how the tarn looks much more blue than the sky, somehow. This is along the path to Nicky Nook, approaching from the side of Wyresdale Park.

Another strange item of spam
I'm guessing that due to ever-improving spam filters, the spammers have to try harder to get our attention. I found this item in my spam folder recently:

Are Faster Payments subject to a fee? And that was it. There was no link, an unremarkable subject ("Monday Process") . . . nothing else. Perhaps the writer envisaged that my curiosity would be peaked so much that I would have to reply. I mean, are they subject to a fee?! And how fast is faster?! Are slower payments subject to less of a fee? And what payments are we talking about here?! So many questions . . .

Trough Road, Over Wyresdale (?!)
     | | Somewhere in the Trough of Bowland, perhaps Over Wyresdale . . . who knows? Anyway, we were a little concerned that a small patch of young woodland had been felled / 'managed' recently, owing to multiple sightings of a barn owl in these environs recently. Hence, there are a couple of photos here depicting the now barren land. Of course, the tree felling had been done under license by the government, as the sign pointed out, so I'm sure it's all perfectly legit and above board . . .
